Google has added a ton of awesome new features to Google+. Not all of them are well known though. Take the Google+ Photo Search feature. Google has been pushing Google+ hard in the past few months. Many webmasters are now adding Google+ Sign-In to their sites (the Verge being the latest one). Google+ Sign-in is also helping sites get more of their visitors to install their Android apps. Seth Sternberg, Google’s product manager for the Google+ platform explains:

Since launch, we’re now finding that 40% of people who are offered to install a website’s mobile app, accept. This is a significant benefit for consumers, who can now easily access their favorite sites on the go, and developers, who are experiencing greater mobile usage.

Google has been improving Google+ a lot to get more people active on it. Data by Nielsen now suggests that Google+ users spent only about 7 minutes a day on the site in March. The same data points to Facebook users wasting 6 hours and 44 minutes on the site. [click to continue…]
